1 ATRS Rules and Regulations 4-2 (II B) states: “If any position receives only one nomination and the
position is not contested, the Board at its next regular or special meeting may certify the nomination and
declare the candidate duly elected as a trustee prior to the commencement of the trustee’s term.” This
has historically been done by resolution when all election results are declared certified by the Board.
