Excellent News for T-DROP Participants and those entering T-DROP in 2015. ATRS will pay a 5.5% interest rate on ALL T-DROP DEPOSITS IN 2016!
T-DROP and Post 10 Year T-DROP are already scheduled to receive 6% interest on June 30, 2015. The ATRS Board action now sets the payment at 5.5% interest for June 30, 2016!
On Monday, April 6, 2015, the ATRS Board of Trustees adopted a Resolution setting the T-DROP interest rate for July 1, 2016 at 5.5% interest rate. In the same ATRS Board meeting, the Post-10 Year T-DROP interest rate was also set by a second ATRS Board Resolution at 5.5% for July 1, 2016. Remember that T-DROP participants who submitted an application to retire out of T-DROP this year may cancel the retirement application and continue in T-DROP. I have attached the two ATRS Board Resolutions that set the interest rates for both T-DROP and Post 10 Year T-DROP at 5.5% for July 1, 2016.
