Please join me in congratulating Mr. Michael Johnson, a teacher for the Pulaski County Special School District and Dr. Mike Hernandez, the executive director of Arkansas Association of Educational Administrators, on being appointed to the ATRS Board of Trustees. Yesterday the ATRS Board held a special board meeting to appoint trustees to fill unexpired positions that were recently vacated. Mr. Johnson was unanimously appointed to serve out the term for position #2 that ends June 30, 2022. Dr. Hernandez was unanimously appointed to serve out the term for position #5 that ends June 30, 2024.
Mr. Johnson and Dr. Hernandez will bring their unique perspective and years of experience to the Board of Trustees. I look forward to working with them in the future.
